Next day while checking the vochers my colliuge got dought and asked me i told the whole story then they reported it as fraud....

Bank has investigated for 6 months and they issued a termination letter for me....

Want to know there is no reputational or financial loose for the company.Even they taken my whole life with one letter is this is the correct process????

It is a very difficult question to answer.
At end of day there would have been surplus cash with you Rs10000 how come you did not rectify mistake then and there.
Banks have zero tolerance for such kind of errors.

Whatever the mistake be, every human being is prone to err, Having taken customer in confidence, there was no fraud as the amount showed in voucher was deposited. It would have been different if amount in voucher was falsely showing higher amount but amount was misappropriated by employee. what in crux has to be seen whether proper domestic inquiry was conducted as per section 41 of the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishment Act. If not challenge it before appropriate authority. If employee is covered under definition of workman as defined under ID Act, then he will have rights to challenge under ID Act. In your relieving letter the employer will mention termination due to misconduct which will go against your merits.
Thanks

Hi Abdul,

As said above by Sushil, every human being is prone to err... Still,

When you modified the voucher, did you request the customer to come & sign it?

When handling money, there is a very thin line between trust & distrust.

Such acts give customers a feeling that the bank executives can play with their accounts as they wish. If this is the basis for bank saying they do not trust you any more, then I doubt you can rectify it.

What was the exact outcome of the domestic investigation? Does it clearly say you might have done it purposefully or if the incident was a mistake? In either way, bank can terminate you saying they have lost trust.

In this situation, you can request the bank to rely on the rest of your trustworthy service, & provide a relieving letter without mention of this error incidence or domestic investigation, considering your future on it.

Relieving letter available or not, the next job can reach to this bank for reference, so it will be better that you leave on good terms & good relieving letter now.

Frankly, I have seen such errors happening in banks & executives correcting them in similar fashion, but if bank decides to pursue this so seriously (6 months enquire, & termination...), then this is not just a simple issue of technical error, but it seems also some egos, exterior reasons are involved...

Best of luck....

Amod.
