Warning letters are issued to the employees for minor misconducts. Issue of warning letter is one of the means of punishment.
Issue of warning letter is first step of
progressive discipline. Gravity of the misconduct decides the issue of warning letter and there is no periodicity involved in the issue of warning letter. Neither warning letters are issued for the sake of it nor to satisfy HR Professional's itch for trying their drafting skills.
