EPS amount not transferred - what to do now?

amit_sv6685
Left my previous company after one year of service and joined a new company. I have transferred my old PF account but suddenly came to know that the EPS amount has not yet been transferred. Please suggest what I should do now?

Hi, please explain your situation to your current employer. They will assist you. Also, resend Form-13 for PF transfer including your previous company's PF number and date of leaving details. Additionally, ensure to provide your name, surname, and other necessary details for reference between your current and previous employers. Mismatched details with your previous employer can lead to the rejection of your transfer form by the EPFO.

Dear Amit, first give me clarity about the problem.

1) Has only the EPS not been transferred?
2) What about the EPF?
3) Have you submitted the form? If so, where have you submitted it? At the previous office or the present office?

One more thing, how did you know that your EPS has not been transferred? Where did you check - online or at the PF office?

Thanks,
Vinod

Dear Vinod,

Thanks for the comment. As you requested, I have applied Form 13 for PF transfer and got only 80% of the amount transferred a few days back. I also received an SMS on my registered mobile stating that the sum of rupees will be transferred to the new PF account in Pune.

Subsequently, I downloaded the e-passbook from the EPFO website and discovered that only the PF amount has been transferred to the new account. Upon cross-checking with the old PF account e-passbook, I found out that only the PF contributions of the Employee and Employers, including interest, have been transferred. The actual total accumulation of funds in the old PF account is more than what was transferred to the new account.

Form 13 was submitted through my current employer at RPFO Pune.

Dear Amit_sv6685,

I had the same issue - the PF amount was transferred, but the pension part was not. When I contacted an expert on that matter, I was told that the pension part does not get transferred but it remains with the government organization handling pensions in this case. The amount does not reflect in the PF statement either. I was puzzled, but since he was an expert, I believed he was correct.

Let us see if there is an update on this.

Dear Amit,

Your EPS remains with EPFO, and at the end of service, your pension is calculated based on the number of years you had contributed to EPS (called pensionable service).

Thank you.

Hi all,

Finally received some feedback from EPFO Grievance Management Systems as below.

This is in reference to your grievance registered vide Registration Number DELSO/E/2014/09300. It is informed that your grievance is being treated as non-actionable due to the following reason(s): Pension is transferred in the mode of service detail only and not in the mode of amount. Therefore, the transferred pension fund does not reflect despite the transfer of pension. We have already transferred out your service details with your account.

Therefore, we are closing your grievance from this office. Please quote the same in your future correspondence.

Hi, my previous employer has not credited my PF amount to my PF account (i.e., 9 months pending out of 21 months). My current employer has informed me that if the account is transferred from the previous employer to the current one, the pending amount will be lost. Please tell me what I should do now.

Dear All,

Please help me out with EPF claims. After applying for the claims, we are receiving a lesser amount from the EPS part. For example, out of ₹17,000 EPS amount, we have only received ₹6,000. Can anybody rectify this issue?

Thank you.
