Recruitment is the initial process for selecting candidates by recruiting from the open market to fill different positions within the company. On the other hand, staffing involves placing the right candidate out of the selected candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and expertise as per the work requirements of various departments in the organization. For example, an HR qualified candidate would be placed in HR and Personnel departments, while an accounts and finance qualified candidate would be placed in Accounts and Finance departments. Naturally, Accounts and Finance departments cannot be staffed by HR personnel or a marketing personnel, and vice versa.
