Is there a mandatory number of holidays to be declared in Tamilnadu for IT Industry? If so, what is the number and the list of mandatory holidays.

The holidays (national & festival) can be derived from the list of holidays prescribed by the State or central government depends on the discretion of the employer. No list of holidays will be circulated for sector wise. The national hoiuldays are fixed and you can choose festival holidays depends on the stature of your employees. Minimum of 9 days ( 4 national fixed and 5 festival holiday flexible) has to given. Tamil nadu govt list of holiudays 2014 attached is for your reference
