No Relieving Letter Is Issued, Although Service Certificate Is Given ,TCS

I have got service certificate from the company and not the relieving letter.Should I mention that experience in my resume for my next interview?
The company is reluctant to give me the relieving letter.Is it worthy to have such a service certificate ?
The company is TCS and I have paid the full and final settlement dues.
Didn't serve the notice period althouh as I had to abandon abruptly due to health reason.
They are saying that the status has been updated to absconding and after that the resignation letter was obtained.
Is it a valid reason.Is there some way to get the relieving letter.
Please help!

Also the reason for separation is written abandonment in the service certificate. What does that mean ?

Please clear it with your HR in TCS. A Service Certificate that mentions 'Abscond/Terminated' is barely of any use. You have to convince your new employers a lot. Why take that pain?

Write a letter to the HR in TCS, with all the copies to the financial clearance and claim a reliving letter.

If they had taken the money for the settlement, they need to issue the letter too. Offer all your support and speak to the highest authority, stating the health concern with proof. Request on humanity ground for a relieving letter , as it will impact your career.

However, on the flip side, if you can explain all this to your new employer and if you are getting hired by a genuine employer, who knows how these firm works , you would barely need the document .

Large MNCs stress a lot of on perfect documentations, specially for release and background verification. Hence if you plan to work with such firms, you better escalate it to the Head of HR and request on humanity grounds.

I completely agree with (Cite Contribution), you share all the required documents to the highest authority in TCS as well as to your new employer. If TCS is stringent about giving you the letters, I am sure your new employer will consider the same.

I totally agree to (Cite Contribution) & Monica here, and adding to the conversation, while writing a mail to TCS also keep your current employer Head of Department or HR higher authority (by permission) in loop for transparency. As this is a matter of your career.
