Attendance Registers In A Plant

Hello,
As per the factories act or any other act, is there any restriction on number of attendance registers that need to be maintained in a plant?
For the convenience of the people, if we maintain two attendance registers one for each section in the plant, is this fine as per factory act or any other act?
