I have a query regarding whether the contract labours deployed through the contractors are eligible for casual leave or festival leave. I understand that the contract labours are eligible for Earned Leave as per the provision of Factories Act and there is no act or statutory provision for providing casual leave or festival holidays to contract labours.
Further, is it mandatory or statutory for principal employer to ensure that contract labours are being provided the casual leave or festival holiday or wages in lieu of them.
