Suspended Employees

Dear All,

After a suspension period of one year with a warning, we have reinstated three operators. Please let me know if they are eligible for welfare benefits for the suspended period.

The warning you have given closes the entire disciplinary proceedings. So, they are entitled to their wages had they not been under suspension and all other service benefits, including increments if fell due in the interregnum. The only requirement is that you should adjust the subsistence allowance paid.

I agree with Shri Umakanthan ji. The employees who were suspended were taken back after a period of one year with a minor punishment of a warning. Hence, they are eligible for all service benefits.
