I think Guna has asked for the break-up of CTC, but all your replies are regarding Gross. CTC is different from gross. I don't know if I am right or wrong. Also, basic calculations vary from company to company.

Break Ups Amount

Basic + DA 2700 HRA 900 Other Allowance 650 Gross Salary 4250

Employee's ESI 74 Employee's PF 324 Take Home 3852

Employer's ESI 202 Employer's PF 324 CTC 9026

Seniors, please suggest the right answer.

Hi,

I do agree that since he asked for CTC, we should ensure that the Basic wages are not less than the Minimum wages. As per my knowledge, nowhere in India are Minimum wages less than 4200 for any category.

Sorry, Jeevarathnam, I have wrongly calculated:

Basic + DA 4950
HRA 2250
Other Allowance 1000
Gross Salary 8200

Employee's ESI 144
Employee's PF 594
Take Home 7463

Employer's ESI 390
Employer's PF 594

CTC 9184
CTC = Gross + Employers Expenses towards Employees
jeevarathnam
That's perfect. You can even set the CTC at Rs. 9000/-, and the difference of Rs. 184 shall be adjusted into the Other Allowance. This means that the gross salary will also be reduced.

HR Guna
Dear Jeevarathnam,

Can you please tell me the exact breakdown of the salary percentage? It's confusing me a lot.
jeevarathnam
Dear Guna,

There is no fixed percentage to calculate the salary breakup. These are just designed to reduce the burden of TDS and should be considered in accordance with the statutory requirements.

Thank you.
