Understanding Employee Benefits and PF Claim Process in Death Cases

radhey
Dear All,

One of my best friends was working in an MNC for the last 16 years. One day, one of his colleagues caused his death at work. I am curious about the benefits his family can receive from the company and other relevant authorities, such as PF, welfare, and medical policies.

Thank you,
Radhey Shyam

Dear Radhey Shyam,

Please find herewith the attached file in which I have mentioned the benefits that are valid for the families of deceased employees as per labor laws.

Thank you.

I have a question regarding a death claim. One of our employees passed away in 2009. We have now received his PF application. Is it possible to claim the PF? Also, he has a 6-year-old daughter. Is a joint bank account required?

Sir,

My unmarried uncle worked in a cinchona plantation department in West Bengal. His parents were deceased, and since he was unmarried, he nominated me to receive his PF amounts. Although he had siblings, he chose to nominate me, his nephew. He passed away while working at the age of 46 in 2001. I took over his job after him, but even after 12 years, I have not received the PF amount. The office staff says I need to obtain a succession certificate, which will cost me around Rs. 30,000. The PF amount is approximately Rs. 2,35,000. Do I really need to produce a succession certificate? Am I not eligible to receive this amount as a legitimate candidate?

Could you please confirm if I am eligible to claim this amount? My contact number is 918145862404. Can you provide me with some Government Orders that I can present to the office staff to support my claim? What steps should I take to receive the amount?

Regards
