Is internship compulsory for all the disciplines i.e. for Dip / BE / MBA Students?

Just wanted to know, is an internship compulsory for all disciplines, i.e., for Diploma / Bachelor of Engineering / MBA students? Also, is it mandatory for all companies to provide internship opportunities for students to work for a few months? Kindly guide.

Compulsory may not be the right term; it is necessary. All professional courses like MBA require practical exposure even during the course. While it is not mandatory for companies to provide these opportunities, most companies do hire interns.

1) Management: BBA/MBA
2) Engineering: B.Tech/BE
3) Computer Application: BCA/MCA
4) Hotel Management: BHM
& other professional courses like Travel & tourism, etc.
must go for an internship.
