Probation Extension 2nd Time - Doc Download

Hi,

We have one employee who joined us on 01.07.2011, and his confirmation is due on 01.01.2012. However, due to performance issues, his probation got extended for 3 months, i.e., until 31.03.2012. Even after that, the boss would like to extend it for another 3 months.

I am requesting a format for the same since this kind of issue with us is the first time.

Hi,

Simply, you can give a letter stating that due to performance reasons, your probation period shall be extended until a specific period.

1) What are the reasons to extend the probation period for consecutive times?
2) Is it really required to do so?
3) Is his superior having any personal bias with the probationer?
4) Will this extension affect other probationers as well?
