Here is the question:
There are 7 girls on a bus.
Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat there are 7 little cats.
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

Number of cats=14 per backpack
Number of legs per backpack=14x4=56
Each girl has 7 backpack hence number of legs per girl=56x7=392
Hence as there are 7 girls, number of legs of cats=392x7=2744
7 girls have 14 legs, hence total number of legs=2744+14=2758
Assumptions--there is nobody else in the bus other than 7 girls and the cats

I got the ans :
1. As there are 7 girls mean 7x2 = 14 legs
2. each girl having 7 bag packs mean 7x7= 49 bag backs
3. each bag having 7 big cats mean 49x7 = 343 big cats
4. 343 cats x 4 legs mean 343x4 =1372 legs
5. For every big cat there are 7 little cat mean 343 big cats x 7 = 2401 little cat
6. 2401 little cat mean 2401x4 = 9604 legs
7. final conclusion :
14 +1372+9604 = 10990 (ans)

above answer is wrong...
solution is;
No of girls = 7, hence 14 legs
============================
No of bags = 49
each bag contains 7 large cats and 49 small cats (total of 56 cats in each bag)
total cats = 56*49 = 2744 cats
Total cat legs = 2744*4 = 10976
overall legs = 10936 plus 14 legs = 10990 legs (assuming no one else is there in the bus apart from girls with bagpacks)

Pooja and Geethika have got the same answer! Why is Geethikaq saying that Pooja's answer is wrong?

My ans is right i dont understnd by which corner she is saying is wrong...bt geetika you have also given the ans in same way
as i done .

Are you talking of only the legs of 7 girls, 343 big cats and 2401 small cats, what about legs of driver and other passengers (and their backpacks and their pets and their legs) on the bus???????

Plz tell me one thing , the quest is not asking abt drivers and other passengers details ...and also the password should be one how can two people open the file with different password ........ i have opened it by the password 10990....
