I need your help! My salary is less than the income tax slab, but I still want to file my ITR for 2011-2012. Please guide me on which form to fill out and how to proceed.

One more thing, do I need to ask for Form 16 from my company? The accounts department is saying that they don't deduct my tax and fill the challan, so Form 16 can't be issued to me.

Please guide me soon as I want to buy some property and need to show a strong ITR.

Hope your company has deducted the tax from your salary. Please ask your accounts/HR Department for Form 16. Keep the record for that, and at present if the income slab is less than Rs. 500,000 per annum, then you need not file any ITR.

If an employee is unable to furnish Form 12B, can their current salary be considered for the full year for tax computation?
