To All Managers, Hospitality Professionals, and Management Thinkers,
Greetings! I have taken up a case study that I would like to discuss. The case...here it goes...
XYZ hotel is not doing well. Sales figures don't talk much. It was a single-owned property until last year. Now it is a managed property of one of the International Budget Hotel Chains. The hotel's management has hired all the professionals at the higher management level. Still, the hotel is not able to generate revenue as required.
Even though it is a managed property now, the payment terms and the main key lie in the hands of the directors. They are not making payments to the staff on time. The payment is getting delayed by months. The managers are struggling to retain the ground-level staff. The hotel's image is very bad in the market and is worsening in terms of maintaining staff. 80 out of 100% of the professional employees in the market share the same opinion that this organization does not pay on time.
