What is power of (1)General Secretary (2) President of a Trade union in their organisation.

The general secretary is the executive head while the President is the constitutional head. The day to day work is tobe lookedafter by the Gen. sec. The president presides over the meetings.

I would like to know if there is any lower or upper limit for number of office bearers and committee members of Trade Union.
Our current Union leaders wanted all 12 (6 office bearers and 6 committee members) to be allowed to come in the general Shift so that they can discuss on issues with Management. But, since it is very difficult to discuss with a group of 12 even on minor issues and also to prevent production loss, we requested Union for only office bearers to be allowed in G Shift. After this, they have decided to increase the number of office bearers from 6 to 9. How can we counter this move?
