Eligibility Of Materinity Leave At 8 Months Miscarriage

hi, One of my friend is 8 week pregnant, she is voluntered and planning to go for abortion due to some issues, pls suggest if she is eligible for materinity leave. if yes how many days of leave she is eligible for.
Pls revert at the earliest

According section 9 of the M B Act,1961, she is entitled to have leave with wages at the rate of Maternity benefit for a period of six weeks immediately following the day of her medical termination of pregnancy.

note that any forceful abortions without the consent of women which comes under IPC, are not eligible for benefits under MB act.

NO, here IPC doesn't applicable. I am agree with Archana.
In addition to that, The abortion should be advised by Doctor (M.D.) of respective Medical ground. Then only section 9 of the M B Act,1961 would be applicable.

Gaurav is also right and the women is entitled to receive the half the amount before the pregnancy and the rest after hi delivery.
