Gratuity Calculation After Employee's Tragic Death: How Should We Proceed?

Dear All, In an unfortunate event, one of our employees has died due to a road accident. He had completed 1.5 years of service. What should be the method to calculate his gratuity?

Gratuity Calculation Methods

1. Calculate as per length of service
2. Calculate until retirement age
3. Calculate based on 5 years

In accordance with the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, we are required to pay gratuity based on the actual length of service.
