Gratuity Calculation In Case Of Death Of An Employee

Dear All,
In an unfortunate event one of our employee has died due to road accident.
He has completed 1.5 years of service. What should be the method to calculate his gratuity ?
1. Calculate as per length of service
2. Calculate till retirement age
3. Calculate as per 5 years

In accordance with the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 we are to pay gratuity according to the actual length of service.
