Hi, I want to be good in English communication. Can anyone recommend a good center? Help me if you can.

Thank you to all in advance.

Hey, instead of going to any center, read the newspaper daily, watch English movies, and always talk in English. This will improve your communication as well as confidence.

Practicing reading novels with a pocket dictionary is beneficial. Daily practice of learning a few words and framing sentences can significantly improve your language skills.

Try converting your thinking to English so that you don't have to struggle while framing sentences. This would help you avoid translation, which can be intimidating. Try to speak to yourself mentally in English about anything you do in daily life. For example, if you are preparing a cup of tea for yourself, try talking to yourself like: "I am preparing tea for myself. I have taken a pan and put some water in it. Now, I have switched on the stove," and so on. You can do this with almost everything you do in your daily life. This practice would be beneficial.

You can also do a mirror exercise - take any topic and speak about it in English in front of the mirror. Start with easy topics like "My family," "India," etc. Then, move on to more challenging topics. This exercise will increase your confidence and help you shape your thoughts effectively.

Hi,

For anything you do in life, a clear goal/vision, adequate motivation/enthusiasm, hard work/discipline, and the ability to take risks/challenges are critical attributes.

However, if you are seeking help in improving your communication skills in a short time, I am afraid it is not so easy. I presume when you refer to communication skills, you also mean that you want to improve upon your English language skills too. What you primarily require are the key attributes called 'discipline' and 'enthusiasm' with which you can achieve anything you want.

Your enthusiasm is the reason you wrote in at Citehr. The next test is to be disciplined and follow the suggestions given here.

1. My first suggestion is to read as much in English as possible. A standard daily English newspaper and the Reader's Digest have very good reading material.

2. Make more English-speaking friends and make a determined effort to speak only in English, even if you keep forgetting words, or tend to stammer, or your friends tend to laugh at you. This will require a lot of willpower, but believe me, you will soon improve.

3. I would also suggest you try to learn at least 3-5 new words and look up the meaning in a dictionary. Then try and use these words in your daily work and in your communication.

4. If you still feel that professional help is needed, then you will have to attend English speaking classes.

5. You must also use Word to type in your written communication and try to correct the errors that show up. This is a quick and easy way to improve your written skills. For example, there are a few errors in what you have typed in Citehr regarding your problem, which could easily have been corrected before posting it. Avoid all tendencies to use SMS language, short forms, slang, etc.

6. Finally, if you can, do visit my blogs listed below regularly and try to learn the new words in it and also be inspired by it. You can click on the links below for instant access:

Dear friend,

The human mind is like a dustbin and can only be filled in two ways: through your eyes and ears.

If you wish to learn the English language, you must fill your mind with English. To achieve this, you can utilize the two methods mentioned above.

The first method, "Eyes": You should read English storybooks or newspapers, whatever interests you. Remember, the material you read should be engaging for you. Enjoy what you read. While reading, you may encounter unfamiliar words. Instead of immediately reaching for a dictionary, try to comprehend the meaning of these unfamiliar words without external assistance. Over time, your mind will become sharper, and you will naturally understand new words without external aid.

The second method, "Ears": Listen attentively to individuals who are proficient in English. When you come across a new phrase, retain it in your memory. Additionally, watch English movies and news programs.

By consistently filling your mind using the above methods, one day, your knowledge will overflow, and English will flow effortlessly from your mouth.

Dear friend, mastering English is not an overnight task; it may take 2-3 years. To succeed, you must develop a love for the English language, and your curiosity to learn should remain steadfast until you achieve fluency.

Practice daily, and you will notice progress.

Best of luck.

Dear Sandhya,

There is no need to deduct PF contributions of contractors, but the PF contributions of contractual labor must be deducted and deposited with the RPFC.

First Trick: Don't bother about grammar initially. Speak Raw English.
Second Trick: Stress important words in every sentence. For example, in the sentence "CiteHR is the best HR portal in the world," stress the words CiteHR and The Best.
Third: Use accent and style to hide grammar mistakes.
Fourth: Give presentations in front of the mirror.
Fifth: First learn how to ask questions including all Do, W, and H questions, so that you can effectively finish half the conversation.
Sixth: Use phrases like "you know," "you see," "like," and "hmmm" initially if you want.

First of all, try to speak in English as much as possible. While speaking, consider English as a tool for expressing your thoughts rather than a skill. It will help you overcome hesitation, fear, and give you fluency.

Secondly, emphasize on vocabulary. Read newspapers/dictionary and watch English movies.

Third, learn basic grammar and avoid silly mistakes (like saying "I wants to be good in English").

Ahsan
