I believe the amendments made in the year 2010 were related to the following acts:
1. Payment of Gratuity Act.
2. Workmen's Compensation Act (Now Employee Compensation Act).
I wanted to understand if ESCI is not applicable to any factory, is the factory under legal obligation to provide Group insurance to its workers. If yes, under which law is it mandated for the factory to provide group insurance? Please provide me with a valuable reply.
