Understanding Establishment Codes and PF Numbers for EPF Accounts

Hi,

My PF number is KN/BN/19214/074090. I was working for IBM India Pvt. Ltd. I don't know the Establishment code.

Please help me out to obtain the Establishment code or provide information on how I can find the address where my PF is maintained.

If your PF No. is KN/BN/19214/074090, then your PF account is in Bangalore, Karnataka (KN stands for the Region and BN for the sub-region office of the EPFO). Your establishment code No. is 19214, which will be the same for all employees of your establishment in Bangalore, and your account number is 74090.

My name is Frederick John. I worked in an organization where my salary slip bore my PF Number as TN/48977/0314. I resigned from that company and joined a new organization. I tried to transfer my PF amount from the old account to the new account. When I tried to check the balance on the EPF online site, I entered the establishment code, but my records were not found.

I attempted to find my establishment by searching using the postal code, establishment code, and establishments under the Chennai office. However, not even my ex-organization's name is displaying.

Kindly suggest an idea to resolve this issue.

To know the establishment code, you need to simply visit this website Establishment Information Search (link updated to site home) (Search On Cite | [url=https://www.google.com/search?q=Establishment Information Search]Search On Google) and click on Also search on Estt. name (enter a few characters of estt. name or in full). Enter a few letters of your organization, e.g., for IBM DAKSH BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICES, enter IBM Daksh, and it will give you all the data you need.

For searching the code, please go to epfindia.com and click on the establishment search. Then, in the last option, mention the establishment name, and accordingly, it will provide the PF code for your establishment.

Now you can link all your previous EPF accounts through UAN. You can also link your previous EPF accounts through Provident Fund portability. Visit the UAN - EPFO site.
