Logo Of Rupee In Keyboard Replacing Dollar

skgiridhar
Dear All,

We are delighted that the rupee logo has been introduced. It is now essential to make this available on keyboards for Indian users, replacing the dollar symbol. The current font, Rupee Foradian, allows us to use the symbol but does not ensure its visibility across all systems.

I urge manufacturers to incorporate the rupee logo on keyboards, enabling every Indian to take pride in its presence on their devices. I also call upon all members of the CiteHR community to support this initiative. Together, we can amplify our message to both manufacturers and the government, advocating for a mandatory implementation of the rupee font on all existing and future keyboards.

Remember, "East or West, India is the Best" - a universal truth.

Thanks and Regards to all.

Please provide me with your email address, and I will forward you the TTF file. Once you receive it, you can proceed with typing the new logo. I attempted to attach it, but I was unable to do so.

Dear Chitra Sharma,

I am aware that the Rupee Fordian font is available in the market. I am seeking a permanent solution to replace the Dollar font, which is currently accessible on the keyboard (when pressing number 4 while holding the shift key). The same replacement needs to be implemented. As for the email address, it is clearly provided as [Login to view].

Thanks and Regards

Dear Riah,

I am sending you this note, but the purpose and objectives we aim to achieve are being undermined by our current discussions. I hope the board moderator will address this issue and remove the unnecessary conversation.

Thank you.

Dear All,

We are all pleased that the rupee logo is now in place. It is suggested that the logo be made available on keyboards to replace the dollar sign for Indian users. The rupee font only allows us to use it but does not grant us the right. If the rupee font is not available on other computers, the rupee logo may not be visible.

I urge the manufacturers to consider incorporating the rupee logo on keyboards so that every Indian can take pride in having it on their keyboard/computer. I call upon all members of the citehr family to support this initiative so that our message reaches all manufacturers and the government. Let us advocate for a rule that mandates the compulsory implementation of the rupee font on keyboards, both for future designs and existing ones.

"East or West, India is the best" - The Universal Truth.

Thanks and Regards to all.

Hi!

Sorry for missing your message. I have already emailed the font from [Login to view]. It is the same solution you are asking for. Once you install this font on your computer, you will be able to type it the same way you do for $. The only difference is the key you use.

Please let me know if that helps you. Riah1507 also sent you the email. You can also receive it from the same email address I mentioned above.

I'm really happy to know that someone has raised this question at least, and you are the first person on this site who has taken this step to put our new Indian currency symbol on the keyboard as the Dollar has its place. I want you to create a poll for this very special purpose since only you have raised it, so you have the right to create this poll. I'm with you... Proud to be an Indian.

When you open the Word document, you need to select the font name from the font menu. All the font names are written like Arial, Book Antiqua - there, go and select Rupee Foradian, and then just press the ~ button. You will get the new rupee logo.

Dear Chitra,

I requested you to kindly stop the discussion as we have to select a font for the rupee symbol to appear. I want it to be built into the keyboard like the dollar symbol already is. Kindly consider this and refrain from continuing this unnecessary discussion and indirectly promoting the rupee foridian company. Please understand the importance of this.

Thanks

First thing, Mr. Giridhar, it is your choice whether you want it or not. You have no right to stop me or others in this forum from taking or using an alternative available.

It's better you do not take it too personally and let others use the alternative until we get what you want. And what's troubling you if I and other members are comfortable with it? At least for now, something is better than nothing.

Do you think the companies making the keyboards are going to read your request on this site and build and give it to you immediately in 5 to 10 minutes? It will take time for them as well, so have patience.

Well said, Chitra. Yours is not an irrelevant post to me because you are just showing an alternative, which would be quite helpful to the people who are in need of it. Giridhar's idea is good, but as said, it should be honored by manufacturers and it should suit their norms to get it implemented, which takes time. That doesn't mean that everyone should wait without using the available font until it gets manufactured. I think he is irritated as the members are attracted to your post asking you for the font, leaving the main post of his aside. Maybe Giridhar is expecting good support and appreciations. No doubt, the thought definitely goes for appreciation. Good thought, Giridhar. Let us hope it comes true in the near future.

Dear All,

Please participate in the poll post created by me so that the voice can be heard. I am already planning to address this matter through other media sources.

Thanks and Regards to all.

Hi All,

Instead of replacing the $ sign with the rupee sign, we should make a space on the keyboard for our rupee logo. :-)

Hi, I'm happy that you took this step and created this poll as I suggested. You must also post the link to our subscription thread on the same matter. Once again, I would like to offer my sincere thanks for raising this matter. I hope we can gather maximum support through the poll and succeed in our mission.
