BPO Department Name Change: What Creative Ideas Do You Have?

We have a BPO as a part of our company, and we are currently facing a small problem with it. The BPO staff is requesting a name change for their department, a query that our management has accepted. Therefore, we are planning to initiate a new name for their department instead of BPO. Kindly suggest a new name for the BPO department. Please reply to me as quickly as possible.

I don't think that BPO is not a good name, but it is true that our society does not see call centers as the right place to work. Moreover, I am also working in an international BPO as an HR recruiter. BPO is a universally accepted name; you cannot change this.

I have been an owner of one of the BPOs in Ahmedabad for the past 5 years. As we all know, a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) is named so because it involves doing work for another company and being specialized in the same. However, based on your query, I understand that the work being done by the group of people is a regular internal process of the company, so BPO is definitely not the correct name for the department. I don't know the kind of job they do, so I can't suggest a desired name.

I do not have much experience with this, but keeping or changing the name is part of the management department of the company. There is no relation of staff with this. A change in name means nothing to them, but consider how much document work you have to do with government stuff. Next time, they may tell you to change the location of the company. Are you going to do that as well? They are staff, not owners, and according to management rules, you have to work with them, not under them. This approach will lead to the company's end soon. Now it's your turn to prove to them that you are the owner, not they. Thank you, and sorry if I said something wrong, but I feel that you shouldn't change your company name.

I can accept this; most of the friends have posted not to change the departmental name. But our management itself accepted their request. Actually, what's the issue in changing the name is they are not getting loans from the bank because of their departmental name as BPO.
