Which acts and rules in Gujarat provide information on national and festival holidays?

National & Festival Holidays are granted under either of these two Acts: the State Shops & Establishment Act or the State Industrial Establishment (National & Festival and Casual & Sick Leaves) Act. Both of these Acts are State Acts. Decide which of the Acts is applicable in your case and then refer to the provisions for National & Festival Holidays.

Dear Res R.N.Khola Sir,

In Gujarat, under which Act are factories required to provide 8 days of mandatory paid holidays in a calendar year? Out of these 8 days, 3 are national holidays - 26th January, 15th August, and 2nd October. Could you please provide guidance on this matter?
