First of all we are to examine under which of the Labour Law we are taking Over time work from the employee/workers. Some of the enactments are as under which provide procedure for OT Payment & maximum OT hours:
The Factories Act, 1948, The Minimum Wages Act, 1948, State Shops & Commercial Establishment Act etc. Therefore first decide the name of the Act & then go through OT provisions.
