Fixed Term Employment - Employment Terms

We are a manufacturing company,in Pune. Can we enter into a Fixed Term Contract with some workmen-selected on basis of skills? After a year or two,we plan to take them in permanent employment,based on performance.They are at present employeed by us thru' a contractor.We do not have any permanent workman at present. If yes,what conditions are to be put in the appointment letter,particularly about working hours and overtime hours?

dear you are manufgacturing concern and donot have sigle permanent employees.does your standing orders certified by labour authorities have provisions to hire like that.have you done registration to hire contract labour like that. have you got provision to hire on fixed term basis all workers on your standing orders. dear you understand these points before taking any decision. regards js malik
