Hi Rupa,
It is nice of you to say thanks. I know that the note I posted might be of hardly any use unless you really go and read the books. Please be more specific with your question, as the CiteHR members would be in a much better position to answer.
Still, I am trying to list some challenges faced by the HR Department:
1. One of the main challenges is to fill up a large number of vacancies at very short notice.
2. Once recruited, the staff has to be efficiently trained to meet the service levels.
3. HRD needs to be creative and flexible in ensuring a comfortable work ambiance and eliminating stress levels.
4. High rates of attrition, frustration, and burnout are realities we have to live with.
5. HRD needs to encourage developmental initiatives, recognize special contributions, reward them, and encourage employee involvement and participation.
6. The HRD needs to clearly depict the succession line in the company and the attendant growth prospects.
I have just listed some; I hope this would help much better.
