Dear Experts, Myself Ravi Kumar working as Manager - HR. I have a query on Leave Encashment. Is consultants are eligible for Leave Encashment. In my organizaion there are three types of consultants are there 1. Full Time 2. Retain Consultants 3. On Call basis We are giving leave to full time consultants and my query is consultants are applicable for leave encashment? Please advice Regards Ravi Kumar

If consultants are on your roll as salaried officers, they are eligible for leave encashment and if not on roll, then they shall not be your employees and as such not eligible for leave and leave encashment. Regards, Madhu.T.K

Only your payroll employees are eligible for leave encashment. Consultants are not eligible for leave encashment.

Hi,
In the case of my org, the consultant enjoys privilege leave amounting to 21days per year. This is calculated on pro-rata basis.
Will he be entitled to encashment of any PL balance to his credit once he resigns??
