Unlocking Opportunities for Personal and Professional Growth: A Must-Read Discussion

Mehul Mehta
Dear All,

I have come across a wonderful story on opportunity which struck me with its simplicity and similar kind of truthfulness.

Once upon a time, there was a young man who was longing to marry the beautiful daughter of the village's most intellectual farmer. He approached him with his wish and showed the readiness to accept any challenge to win his heart. The farmer smiled and asked him to come to his farm the next day. Next day, the farmer put a simple condition in front of him that he would leave three bullocks open in the farm, and he needed to catch the tail of any one of them. If he succeeded in that, he would be eligible to ask for his daughter's hand. The young man laughed in his sleeves and started dreaming about her marriage with the farmer's daughter. The farmer released the first bullock, which was very healthy and full of wildness. The young man had never seen such a big bullock in his life; hence, he decided to skip this one and wait for another one to catch the tail of. Contrary to his expectations, the second one was much bigger and stouter like a hunk. He decided not to play with danger and skipped the second one also. Now, as the last chance, the third bullock was freed by the farmer, which brought a huge smile to the young man's face. The third bullock was apparently very weak and thin. The young man ran towards it and jumped to catch its tail, but he was shocked to see that it didn't have any tail.

Life is full of opportunities. No doubt, some of them are difficult to take on, but if we let them go due to fear or lack of self-confidence, we may never be able to marry a beautiful woman of a farmer called SUCCESS.

Please let me know how you like it.

The young man was disappointed and went home with a broken heart. After getting back home, he thought about the whole situation and what was going wrong. He found two things:

1. He missed two opportunities.
2. He was misguided by the farmer as the third one did not have any tail.

The number two finding made him crazy. He went to the farmer's house and asked the farmer why he defrauded him. The farmer smiled and told him, "I told you earlier that you have to catch one tail from three, but I did not tell you that all the bulls will have tails. You never asked anything before taking the challenge."

Moral: Clarify all the points before an agreement and never blame your challenger.

Hi Mehul,

Nice one and really a good understanding of all.
Really a nice story on how to face challenges in life.
And also never miss any opportunity.

With warm regards,

Dear All,

I have come across a wonderful story on opportunity which struck me with its simplicity and similar kind of truthfulness. Once upon a time, there was a young man who was longing to marry the beautiful daughter of the village's most intellectual farmer. He approached him with his wish and showed readiness to accept any challenge to win her heart. The farmer smiled and asked him to come to his farm the next day.

The next day, the farmer put a simple condition in front of him - he would leave three bullocks open in the farm, and he needed to catch the tail of any one of them. If he succeeded, he would be eligible to ask for his daughter's hand. The young man laughed to himself and started dreaming about marrying the farmer's daughter.

The farmer released the first bullock, which was healthy and wild. The young man, seeing the size of the bullock, decided to wait for another chance. The second bullock was even bigger and stronger, so he skipped that one as well. Finally, the third bullock, which was weak and thin, was set loose. The young man ran towards it, hoping to catch its tail, but to his surprise, it had no tail.

Life is full of opportunities. Some may be difficult to seize, but if we let them go due to fear or lack of self-confidence, we may never be able to marry the beautiful woman named Success.

Please let me know your thoughts on it.

Nice inspirational story. One should never let an opportunity pass without making an attempt. No one knows if that attempt might work. So, try once and give your best effort so that in your next attempt, you will discover your previous mistakes.

Nice story about opportunity. Every time we don't have opportunities to get something, whenever we come across one, we should be ready to hold it in our safe hands. Only then will we achieve. So I want to say, "Achievement is the result of our decision and determination of an opportunity."

Thanks,

Good case!. Most executives wait and watch big oppotunities passing away!We need courage and capacity to measure risks and take actions. It is vital to be analytical and not merely careful. I have conducted a number of EDP on Risk analysis and how to analyse situaations statistically in delaing with HRD. These would be shared for members of theis net work on request before April 5.

Good story, good message. Also read: Yoga & You.

Yoga can slowly and steadily remove your physical ailments and help build wellness at affordable costs. Stress can be managed better, interpersonal relationships at home and workplace improve. Yoga helps in maintaining body weight and proportions besides managing blood pressure and sugar levels. These are some of the findings of a statistical sample study conducted recently by Dr. H.K. Lakshman Rao, a Chennai-based Management & Statistical consultant. Sample data was obtained from a well-known yoga center in Chennai.

The study, based on sample data of persons undergoing yoga practices for short and long periods, reveals positive impacts on the wellness of individuals in different age groups and professions among men and women.

The system is cost-effective and significantly reduces dependence on drugs and adverse side effects. Dr. H.K. Lakshman Rao offers his voluntary consultancy services for statistical analysis on yoga systems to yoga centers in Chennai and other locations. Email: [hklrao@gmail.com](mailto:hklrao@gmail.com).
