Essential Guide to PF Withdrawal and Transfer Process: EPF Forms, Employer Signatures, and Account D

Hi Sir,

My husband left his job with a software firm one year ago. He neither had it transferred nor received the money refunded. I want to know if, for withdrawing the PF amount, we can submit the form at the Delhi office or if we need to do it only in Chennai. Also, if we do not have the details of the amount deposited in the PF account, can we still submit the form?

Thank you.

If you know the PF account number, you can submit the withdrawal forms (Form 10C and Form 19) to the EPF Office where the PF was maintained. If the employer (previous) could not be traced or if the employer refuses to sign the forms, you can get your (husband's) signature attested by your Bank Manager or by a gazetted officer and submit them. It is not mandatory that the withdrawal forms should be sent through the employer.

Alternatively, if you want to get the account transferred, send Form 13 through the present employer giving particulars relating to the past employment. Here, no signature of the previous employer is required.

PF amount from the PF Trust of an exempted establishment shall be withdrawn from the respective trust fund only. However, for transferring PF accounts held in trust to an unexempted provident fund, the same Form 13 (Revised) shall be submitted. In such cases, the employer will submit the application for transfer to the previous employer with a copy to the PF Commissioner.

Hi, sir, I am looking for an HR fresher job. How about joining a consultancy? Does it have good scope for growth?
