Designing a Competency-Based Training Plan for Insurance Brokers: Any Advice or Suggestions?

Hi, I am in the midst of designing a competency-based training plan for a client of mine in the insurance broking industry. I would welcome any suggestions, input, and advice.

Hi, Supra, this is Raashi. Actually, recently, I did a project on training in Maruti, Gurgaon. I hope this information helps you. For designing a training plan, one first has to decide whether it is an Annual Training Program Calendar (ATP) or monthly. After that, the training needs identified are mapped, and the dates with the faculty are decided upon.

It is always advisable to prepare an ATP first because after that, monthly plans are easy to map. Some points that may help you:
- Dates with the faculty as well as trainees
- Deliverables
- Objectives of the training program
- Deciding upon MDP's
- Target of the training program

Regarding the dates with the faculty as well as trainees, deliverables, objectives of the training program, and deciding upon MDPs, the target of the training program is crucial. How will you determine if your training target is achieved? Is it by the number of trainees or by the effect of the training and how you measure this effect? Could you please explain?
