Exploring HR Courses for Career Advancement: PG Diploma Holders Seeking Further Studies

swati.jain0104
Dear Members,

I would shortly be completing my distance learning PG Diploma in HR (from Symbiosis University, Pune). I would like to pursue further studies in either compensation management or labor laws. Hence, I would request you to suggest courses which could help me grow as an HR professional.

Hi Swati,

Even I have completed a PG Diploma (not from Symbiosis). Now, I am planning to pursue the MHRM course (Master of Human Resource Management) offered by Annamalai and Madurai Kamaraj Universities. This course is recognized by the Government of India, all State Governments, UGC, etc. It's a distance learning program. You can check it out.

Swati!

With PGDHRM, you can start an evening course of PGD in Labour Practice, which will also make you suitable for the position of Labour Welfare Officer in an organization with 500 or more workers.

Hi Swati,

You can join PGDPMIR (Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations). There are also courses available in Diploma in Labour Law and PGDHRM.

Hi,

I too did my MBA with HR as a specialization (I passed out in 2008, and I am a science graduate) from JNT University. Now, I am planning to pursue further studies in the area of industrial relations or psychology. Can anybody help me in this regard? Which course will be useful for me in the future? I want to start a business in the coming 8 years, and I want to continue my studies in distance mode. Please also help me with information on which universities will provide these courses.

Thank you.

Hi Vamsi, I think you are studying PGDBA (PG Diploma in Business Administration). Please check the websites of IGNOU and other universities to learn more about this course.

Dear Swati,

I suggest you join the DLLP (Diploma in Labour Law and Practice). I have completed my MSW, DLLP, and am currently pursuing PGDHRM and LLB.

Instead of wasting time, energy, and money, it is better to pursue an M.Phil and achieve a doctorate in HR. This will provide you with more weightage compared to any other milestones. Qualifications are more important than any institute in the world. Institutes do not make you a genius; it is your qualification that holds significance, not the institute. By promoting the mentioned institute on this website, you are confusing more members indirectly. Badlu...
