For your project on SCM, you should ideally start with an introduction to SCM: brief history/origin, definition, meaning, functions in SCM, difference between SCM and logistics (as SCM is an extension of logistics). Explain more about 'relationship management' as SCM is about upstream and downstream management. (This should be your 1st chapter).
Give the current scenario of SCM in India. Mention key players in the industry, turnover, etc., which will form market conditions/scenario.
Now, start with your case study on the organization. First, introduce the company, its turnover, its position vis-a-vis competitors. Explain the solutions provided by the company to clients. Emphasize more on its functionality, i.e., how it works and excels while working with its clients. Talk about transportation management, distribution, freight management, technology used, end-to-end solutions, etc. Don't forget to mention their USP. Do a SWOT analysis.
Finally, give conclusions and recommendations. Recommendations should be based on your observation of the company, and there should be some.
Don't only mention the good points, but you can also mention some defects in the system as it will reflect your effort.
