Exploring Worlds Best Innovations and Company Strategies for Growth

As part of my project, I am required to list the world's best innovations and explain their impact. Could somebody please help me with it?

Any generic but very inspiring innovation. The ultimate goal of this project is to drive the culture of innovation. My part is to talk about how companies grew truly because of innovation. Few examples that I have thought of already are GE, SAP, Google, etc., and I want to tell them what was the strategy that these companies worked upon to achieve what they have achieved. So, in these terms, could you offer some help that would help gather some data about companies that are innovative? :)

I think from an HR perspective, you have to take Google organization's example. Their culture is totally different. Each employee of Google is creative. Credit goes to their T&D department. They take feedback of each employee from everyone (top to bottom). Free extra-curricular courses are sponsored by the organization itself. Every Friday, a party is held for all employees. Their work environment and many more things you can consider.
