WHAT HR SHOULD DO IN THIS CASE

K.Ravi
The present is marked the next day only and not on the same day itself.
I mean there are basic things you need to see, when you do something not in interest of company but in interest of employee.
You have to be that smart to cover up for all that you do

Hi,

The situation you faced was very natural and most of the professionals are undergoing the same in their respective profession.

I just want to point out few points for you:

1. First and foremost thing is you need to know how to balance your personal and professional life.

2. You should be able to segregate your personal issues with professional issues.

3. Give the liberty to others, but not to a extent that they take you for granted.

4. Instead of telling lie or going through third person in order to make your friend to know about your job, tell it out openly to your friend and explain them that you cant compromise with your job ethics. They will appreciate you.

5. Don't love your job, instead like your job. But have a passion for career.

6. Have only 1 or 2 friends inside company. Otherwise you will loose your dignity and also your job accountability. Have friendship with only with those who are alike you in organization.

7. Its immaterial whether you got appreciation or not in your XYZ company. Its the other way round, they lost a chance of recognizing a good prospective leader and a good employee in you. Even if you put the 500 Ruppee note in mud and crush it, After that those who still can realise its value will take it and those who see it as a wasted paper are fools and loosers.

8. You do justice to your job in a way that you get a satisfaction and at the end of the day you can close your eyes and sleep without any worries.

Always keep one thing in mind, WHAT YOU GIVE IS WHAT YOU GET (WYGIWYG).

BE HAPPY AND KEEP SMILING.

P Umesh.

Hi,
In my opinion whatever u did was correct proffessionally & ethically, which i think a person should always stand by. Friendhip is something personal.
I feel loyalty is a part of character, so it's personal thought again.
I have been working with my best freind(freinds since 10 yrs) for last 2 years, but there are certain things, which i never share with him as an professional. absolutely no biases.
I dont think you should regret over anything, as you have lost nothing, but gained loyalty, so what if your manager din't appreciate it, you have discovered it for yourself, even that is important.
Enjoy!!!

hi
this situation could be one of our inconvenience to be as a loyal person to the company. Yes, it may happen to everyone' s career.
According to me, since the company is more valuable than individuals.
If HR person like us , we don't encourage like these kind of things. If we allow it, it may affect the total system of the policies of the company. Here where we ve to persuade the wrongdoers to honest people.
In such a case we don't loose our friends also. because they are the people who will be coming upto the end of our life.
Thanks & Regards

Hi:
See no company is Good or Bad, Big or Small. What matters is how professional we are during our office hours.
I can understand your feelings, however, you need to be more focus on company's policies as the same cannot be changed for an individual. One can only be relexed by you if and only if you have have an authority to go beyond the policies and also when there is no one to sak any questions from you.
Since we are working in a corporate environment and one can not rely on verbal authorities. Unless and until you have the authorities and power given on papers you have to abide by the policies of the companies. No matter whoever the person is Be a friend or Be a brother.
One piece of advice just because of you are a temporary employee you cannot stop performing. It is you who is performing and what you carry down the line is the expereince and way you work.
So don't be emotional be professional.

Hi,

as its said it is as per personal discretion what a person gives weightage to.. personal or professional.. wen its work it should be as desired by your job, organization etc. and wen its personal it is as per you.. so try not to mingle the two... as the more these are kept apart the more efficiently a person can manage his / her roles.. being into hr for the past few years i sincerely feel that an hr person has to always maintain a suitable difference from all the other dept. employees bcoz of there work, the data involved or the secrecy of the matter or watever. so just like an Hr employee cannot disclose any such informaton to any other person similarly u need to be uniform in the rules and regulations for all the employees. we simply cannot differentiate on the basis of our personal likes & dislikes.. further if we are biased about one person or another, sooner or later that comes into picture.. and that gives a bad name whether or not we are still a part of the company at that point of time.. So it is at our discretion wat we want to put on stake.. our own integrity or our personal like. I feel one should rather be professional and handle the things in the manner they ought to happen..
if your boss approves that it should be as per his discretion but one should try and remain uniform.

Hi,Its up an individual how much one should be loyal for the company, bcz nothing is ideal, but in case one is in hr must be clear and firm so that no one can raise any finger on it.regards

Dear Friend,

The Government has set the rules wrt stipend (minimum ) part, there are companies who are paying over and above the stipulated amount, you can influence the management and follow the same.

As far as your ethics and rules are concerned you have to follow the rules, once you happend to break there won't be any end for that, over a period of time when you happend to work in a systems driven company you will be tagged as an inefficient. HR person to be a role model, we are only the people to work on behavioral competencies. I opine that instead of continuing in a company where the systems are not perfect better to quit and join a company where the systems and processes are in place even for a lesser salary, where you will be peaceful and more over can enjoy the job.

When you are going up and up in the lader all these issues needs to be addressed by you only, hence better to follow the rules and try to correct the systems with the help of the seniors.

I believe you will accept my point,

Thanks and wishing a happy new year - kameswarao:-P:-P

Hi, The best anyone can do is to be honest in u job withou compromising about the relations they maintain with their colleagues, junios or with seniors. As u see in ur job, u know that u r working for a temporary duration ( ofcourse one year may be long time in some cases), so generally the employer does not care about your efficiency bcos hthey know that they are not going to give u a permanent job. Also it is clear that the apprentice's salary will not be cut even if they take leaves in excess of the usual leave policy....soi think u wasted much time in being too honest and trusty. U must have identified this very earlier in ur job an took the tasks so easily...that way u will be more happy going ....but things can change depending uponthe employer and their plans....if the employer were to start a new branch and they need some experenced guys to help new trainees, then you might be that one senior person....which is truly rewarding.

As far as work ethics are considered what u did is 100% right...u did thebest u can do...and so your honesty and efficiency at work place will be remembered. Sometimes the best are not always the best rewarded.

Be at ur best always watever happens.
