Sap HR - seems very costly and should select a recognised training institute

Hi All,

For working on SAP HR implementation or support, one should have functional knowledge of the HR system. It is like any automated HR system but with vast options that can be customized according to the organization's needs. My opinion is that it would be better to have three years of functional experience before trying to understand and work on ERP systems like SAP HR.

Thanks,
Pavan

Dear friends,

Nowadays, the most sought-after professional expertise is SAP-HR. There are two types of approaches to acquiring this skill. One option is to receive coaching from SIEMENS. I agree that this option can be costly (roughly 3 lakhs). The second option is to learn from local institutes. Upon completing a course from a local institute, you will need to work with senior functionals to gain practical experience.

Choose for yourself.

Hey buddy, can you tell me what does SAP stand for? I have seen this word in many sites. What is the full form for it and what are its uses?

Hi All,

I'm not an expert, but would like to share through my experience. SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc., are almost the same, with a different interface. For freshers, my advice would be to join as a trainee where they can learn about these ERPs and start working on them, even if they are not paid well. Once you get the hang of one ERP, you can learn and implement any other ERP.

For experienced HR professionals, it's a big decision whether you want to attend a esteemed institute spending 3.5 lacs with no job guarantee or opt for any institute spending 40k with no job guarantee. Additionally, if you learn SAP, there will be opportunities for Oracle and vice versa. Hence, think before you act.

Thanks,
Kavita

Many companies in India are implementing SAP modules, especially HR, which is in great demand. One requires minimum experience to work as an SAP consultant. You require domain knowledge for it. You need not always depend on reputed institutes; even medium institutes will be okay if you can put your efforts into exploring the subject. It's not tough, but practice is a must.

In Hyderabad, you can approach institutes like V-Centric in Panjagutta. Other than the aforementioned institutes, there is one by Chaitanya.

Hi friends,

I am Prajith, and I was designated as an HR Executive, especially dealing with SAP recruitments. Actually, SAP stands for System Application Products (in Data Processing). The origin is from Germany, and now it's hot in the market.

It's both technical and functional. ABAP, BASIS are all technical modules, whereas FICO (Finance & Control), S&D (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), and HR (Human Resource) come under Functional Modules.

You need to learn SAP based on your qualification and experience. Most often, when you learn SAP, you will be recruited as a consultant. You will be responsible for implementing SAP in a company.

Any kind of company can implement SAP. But the modules mentioned above are in great demand.

You can go for SAP certification at any of the authorized centers in India, but it will cost more. You can study from local institutes where they charge from 20,000 onwards, depending upon the module.

Respond to me if you want more details about SAP. But you need to know more before you jump into it.

I think this will be useful to you, or mail me at prajiths@ymail.com for details.

Dear All,

SAP stands for Software Application Programming. SAP has different importance in various departments. Here, we will discuss the HR module of SAP. In the HR module, SAP holds an important place because it is a ready-made software. Through SAP in the HR module, we can easily find every query in a short amount of time. Here, we can easily access the master roll, pay slips, Form 16, Form 5, Form 10, Form 3A, and many other forms related to HR. Therefore, we can conclude that SAP is a ready-made software that allows us to work easily and efficiently.

Thanks and regards,

Thank you for the information. I have never seen SAP software. Could you send me a demo or educational version, or any materials related to it? This way, I can access and consider joining SAP - HR.

Please help, Mr. Parixit.
