Hi,

Excellent piece of work. Conceptually very well-structured. I have no observations at this stage as I have been able to make just a quick leafing through, and that satisfied me professionally. I am downloading it and would be able to convey my observations later as that takes time. But I repeat that you have made an extremely valuable contribution to your organization and to our profession. Keep adding value!

Regards, Samvedan

Hi Vandana,

It's a beautiful presentation, well-drafted and crafted. I really mean it.

Hey Madhu, I need help from you. If possible, could you send me the recruitment and selection procedure of your organization or any other organization if you have it, as I am working on a project.

Bye and thanks once again for sharing such an informative presentation with us.

Dear Vandana,

Quite amazing effort and the systematic approach have made it more worthy. I have a few suggestions that might help us all:

- The length of the document may be a factor for reading everything and gaining full knowledge.
- Most of this information should be in bullets because we all absorb information more easily in bullet points.
- If you don't mind, may I make an effort to convert it into a more bullet-oriented text?

Comments from all of you are most welcome.

Yousuf

Hi Vandana,

The manual is an excellent piece of work done by you. It's a wonderful manual that covers all areas about your organization. A good contribution indeed!

A suggestion: You could have used bullets which might be a good way of presentation. Hope we get to see lots of valuable inputs from you on different topics of HR.

Vandana,

I must congratulate you for the efforts you have put in. An amazing document. But aren't a few rules very severe? A handbook for a new employee should welcome him/her into the systems of the organization. Rules like unnaturally colored hair, tattoos, no multiple ear jewelry, workplace monitoring, or uniforms are something most organizations are doing away with as retention strategies. Research has proved that people work best when they don't have restrictions and inflexible rules.

Hi Vardana - this is even better than mine! :) - You've mentioned Joining Checklist and all - :) Very good work - just run a spell check - there are some mistakes here and there that will not be welcome when it goes to print.

This is a result of very hard work put in. It covers almost every single topic that must be a part of an Employee handbook. The topics can be modified or expanded as per your specific needs.

Hello!

I've read your work. I must say, your company must be very pleased to have such hardworking personnel around. You've done a great job!

One comment, however, the manuscript is too narrative. Don't get me wrong on this one. What I would like to insinuate is, putting myself in the shoes of the ordinary worker in the company, I would find it too tiring to read. If, on the other hand, a supervisory-level position will review, it will take time from his very busy schedule to read through and understand some terminologies which are not common considering the nature of his job.

Another comment is about the entire piece containing topics which are not so much of regular employee concern but more of the HR's. You can limit it by being precise on things directly involving the employee and his job and summarizing the rest in one short, concise unit of the "manual".

But, as I said, it will be very useful on the corporate side as a basis for employee orientation.

Please, don't get me wrong..., I just want to be transparent knowing that you are looking for an honest opinion to assist you with.

GOD Bless!!!
