Hi All,
Pf's employer contribution should not be a part of CTC... it has become a practice now in all the companies.
And for this practice, it is we the HR professional who are to be blamed.
When an employer decides on the salary they leave salary negotiation part on HR and also compensation package is designed by HR department.
Every employer wants to save their money wherever they can, so this practice started of showing employer's pf contribution in the CTC as a technique to negotiate on salary with employees.
Its actually a loss to the employee....if he/she does not negotiate well....:)

If you are member of PF, and company is contributing employer's part of the PF contribution, than the said amount contributed by the company forms part of your CTC.
