What do you do in One Hour Lunch Break???? :D :( :D
Well, as per law you can have 9 hours of shift, including one hour break (two tea breaks of 15 mins each and one lunch break of half-an-hour). For anything extra, you need to increase the working hours.

Hi Freda
Well, I am surprised that in ur organisation one hr lunch break is given as most of the organisations give half an hr or max. 45 min.s lunch break.
I would suggest that you don't need to increase lunch break timings as it is going to affect organisational performance. One hr lunch break can make employees inactive, most of them will feel sleepy after that period.
With half an hr lunch break, employees will get only time to eat n relax during that period..........which will make ur employees active throughout the day & that overall will help to increase organisational effectiveness.
You can provide 15 mins. tea/coffee break instead in the evening..
wat do u say??????
All the Best.

How abt covering up the deficit on by working 3 hours on saturdays? Honestly, I dont think thats possible. 1.5 hrs of lunch break is too much.

Dear
Since you originate from Shangai.pls check up your local Working Hour Law.No law Internationally can prohibit you for paying a days salary/wages for a lesser working period. The point is you cannot reduce the Salary for the lesser Hour/part of the Hour.

Dear
Most of the organization giving lunch break 1 hours. in your case if employee are asking for 1.5 hours. then they have to increase half an hours working time.

No matter what about the Lunch Break
In a week you have to work 48 hours.
You can do one thing
From Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. 1&1/2 hour Lunch
Hence the net working hours per day is 8 hours

Dear Freda,
I think you are already blessed with one hr. lunch time. In some organisation the lunch time is set only for eating that too not in prescribed format.
If you make lunch hr 1.5 hrs then laziness will grow in employees and they will be reluctant to work which ultimately will affect you.
So don't consider for 1.5 hrs instead you can reduce it to 45 mins for one month and increase it to again 1 hr.
