Training Calendar - if anybody could help me with the formats that are used for Trainings

First carry out TNI programme based on that make your training calander.
There can be many formats in which you can include...Department , training required, dates and time, status , checklist, assesment, Attendance, the training faculty/trainer, no of manhours utilized for training..etc
Tray out if any problem then get back to me will mail the training calander and format.

I will advice start using MS-Project it has got inbuilt feature of developing a training calander and it also gives to alerts automatically so its easier for you to track without remembering dates.
