Hi!
I just wanted to know what will be my percentage increment in salary after completing my probation period (six months). My probation period is over now. What should be the increment, and if the increment is very less, should I quit the job?

Hi Rohani,
It depends on your company policy as well as the conversation held between you and your senior at the time of joining. If it has been confirmed that you will get an increment after confirmation, then it would be based on your performance as well. In general, it typically ranges around 20 to 30%, considering the company's growth too.

Dear Roshini,
The percentage of increment after confirmation will vary depending on the company. Most companies will give a 10-15% increment for HR positions, while some companies may not provide the same as per their policy. It's not advisable to quit the job if the increment is less than what you are expecting.
Apart from salary, I think you should consider other factors like growth opportunities, learning experience, etc. If you are not satisfied with all of these factors, I feel that you should first discuss with your boss regarding your expectations and disappointment after receiving the confirmation. He will guide you or explain to you why it didn't happen and what the bottlenecks are.
Best of luck!
