hi mandar,

The basic difference between just HRM and IHRM is the word "I" which means you are dealing with people not just in your organization or industry but with people who are global. That would mean different people from different countries under one organization or just organizations internationally around the globe.Handling these diverse people in tandom with their culture and needs and at the same time keeping organzational needs in mind is wat IHRM is all about.Atleast thats wat I think it is all about.Different people have diverse needs based on their culture, upbringing, language, adaptability and also diverse work environments. How can all these people perform and build up as human resource if they are put together? How can we ahieve individual goals as well as organizational goals and get optimum results from people who are indeed so different and work through not only culture and language barriers but also helping them adapt to change with respect to their surroundings. So I think IHRM includes everything that HRM involves but only at a higher and more complex level simply because it relates and deals with a large workforce or human resource who are just not diverse but also building blocks on a global platform.
