Hi all,

My name is Shubhi. I completed my Engineering in 2012 in Computer Science. I'm pursuing my PGDM and have a CGPA of 7.4 until the 2nd Semester. My specialization is HR as a major and Marketing as a minor. I have excellent presentation skills. I'm confused about which sector I should join. If the Software industry, then how can I enter big MNCs without any work experience? I love giving presentations and conducting interviews.

A good option for you would be to utilize your knowledge and skills and become a technical trainer. You probably need to do some certifications in your field, and you can also go through a Train the Trainer Program.

As far as joining a big MNC is concerned... well, MNCs (big ones too) do hire freshers.

It would be very difficult now to enter big MNCs since the job market in IT is very cold. I work at Capgemini and I am familiar with the current scenario. Even the job market in other fields is not good. If you are interested in a marketing job in Delhi, I can assist you with that as I know of a small organization there that is seeking MBA graduates in marketing.

Thanks,
Deepa

To Atul sir,

Thanks a lot for getting back to me. Can you tell me what sort of certifications I can go for? Also, could you please suggest some institutes where I can undergo the Train the Trainer program?

Thanks, Shubhi.

For you, a 'Business Analyst Role' in an IT company marketing HR products may offer enough job satisfaction. You may have to join as a management trainee after completing your MBA & put in considerable effort to prove your worth.

Nobody holds the key to open the door to MNCs. One has to work their way up by enhancing their employability through all available means and by making efforts to be present at the right place and at the right time. There cannot be a documented roadmap to gain entry into MNCs. If such a roadmap existed, it would have solved the problems of thousands of aspirants. Some of the suggestions provided by the learned members above are one way of enhancing your employability.
