To survive in the construction industry, you have to buy a book on contract labor and the Building and Other Construction Work Act (BOCW). Pay attention to details like the Minimum Wages Act of that particular area, the Child Labor Act, and gain knowledge of statutory compliance to some extent, such as PF, the Workmen's Compensation Act, and ESI.
