Hi Friends,

I need your help in writing the resignation letter. I was approved for 6 months of LOA as I had to travel to Canada with my husband. Now that the stay has been extended, I have to resign. Please help me with the resignation letter.

Regards, Rekha

As mentioned in the book of HR management by James Putty, no resignation letter tells the truth. The writing of a resignation letter is not a problem. You simply write to the management that you are resigning from the job (mention here the date from which you want to leave).

Resignation should be short and addressed to the HR. The date must be mentioned in the letter, and the employee can also request the relieving date. The resigned employee should state the reason for leaving and mention their experience with the organization.

Dear Sir,

I submit my resignation on this Saturday, July 10th, 2010. I have cherished my work, assignments, and the aggressive work culture. I will always be grateful for the opportunities provided by the company under your leadership. It saddens me to leave, but I am moving on with a heavy heart. I look forward to working with you again in the future. I hope you will excuse any misunderstandings that may have occurred.

I kindly request to be relieved on July 31, 2010.

Sincere Regards,
XXXXX

Subject: Resignation Letter

Hi (Name),

I hope you are doing well. It truly pains me to write this, but I find myself in a situation where I have no choice.

It has been a pleasure working for an employer like you. I have gained valuable knowledge and experience during my time here, which I will carry forward with me wherever I go. If given the opportunity, I would be honored to rejoin the team in the future.

I regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, I will not be able to return for at least a month. I appreciate the extended leave you granted me and am thankful for your understanding.

Please consider this letter as my formal resignation. I do not wish to keep you waiting and hope to return to the organization soon.

I look forward to a positive and prompt response from your end, for which I would be very grateful.

Thank you,

Rekha
