Dear All,

Can any of us, those who are the members of this forum, tell me the difference between the national anthem and the national song without cheating? And who is the writer of these? No cheating, ok...

Do you sing the national anthem and song without any help or assistance from anybody right now? Just ask this question to yourself and send me the reply honestly.

If you don't know the writer's name and you cannot sing it, then think about where we want to go and for what purpose.

Do you think that you are really Indian?

Dear Divakar,

Hats off to you for raising such an apt issue. The national anthem instills patriotism in all citizens. If we are well connected with our nation, then we are definitely connected with the Anthem. The national song reflects our identity. Those who have forgotten their national song have also lost their identity.

This has great lessons for HR people who are working towards corporate identity by creating corporate logos, brands, songs, jingles, dress code, processes, etc., as these form the bedrock of organizational culture. Expert comments from specialists are invited.

Dear Mr. Murthy,

You are 100% okay, but don't be so excited (it shows our identity). We need to appreciate Mr. Dipakar's effort. It is seen that most people are not aware of the National Song/Anthem and even our Flag. We need to learn about them, and in this regard, Dipakar has started such a great effort. That is my view; I may be wrong.

Ranjan

National Anthem is 'Jana Gana Mana' written and composed by Kavivar Shri Rabindranath Tagore. It got selected as the national anthem in 1950 and was first sung in 1919. UNESCO has announced our National Anthem as one of the most beautiful compositions in the world.

The National Song is 'Vande Mataram' written in Sanskrit. I have confusion between Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and Chatterjee.

Proud to be INDIAN.

Jai Hind.

Thanks for raising this question.

Dear,

The national song is "Jan Gan Mann" written by Rabindranath Tagore, and I know how to play it on the harmonium as well :)

Our national song is "Vande Mataram" taken from "Anand Math" by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee.
